Parameter Manager

With the Parameter Manager you can make calculations and enter variables into Parametric Shapes which will allow you to define the dimensions more precisely.

Parameter Properties

Select the Parameter Manager icon on the right-side navigation bar, the dialog window allows you to change properties:

  • Name: Name of your Parameter.

  • Expression: Mathematical expression, a finite combination of symbols that is well formed according to context dependent rules.

  • Value: Is a number signifying the result of a calculation or function from Expression.

  • Unit: A unit of measurement is a definite magnitude of a quantity.

  • Comment: Enter any phrases describing your Parameter.

Model Parameters

Parametric Shapes are calculated in Parameter Manager. Whenever a Parametric Shape is created, core dimensions are automatically added to Parameter Manager. For example: if a parametric cube is added to viewport, three parameters are made: Length, Height, Width.

Note: Model parameters are only created when you use Moicon assets that have "Parametric" in their name.

User Parameters

You can calculate and combine specific prefixes, tables and even physical constants to specify value of each parameter.

Calculations will be visible on viewport and asset parameters.
