The Challenge
Hapro had to adapt their facilities to growing new demands, however reorganizing a running factory meant risking downtime and bottlenecks. The planning phase for moving or setting up new production lines would take months, and they lacked a way to accurately predict how changes would affect logistics — specifically the routes for their Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).
The Solution
Hapro utilized Moicon's Digital Twin platform to create an interactive 3D replica of their facility. Using laser measurements, they could drag-and-drop machinery into their Digital Twin to verify fit and flow, simulating production scenarios, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing AGV routes in a digital environment. The tool turned complex data into an intuitive visual model that everyone from various departments could understand and collaborate on.
Results
Production line planning time was reduced by 50% — what previously took months of planning is now achieved in weeks.
