Moicon takes Lerka facilities to the next level with interactive 3D buildings

On the beginning of July Moicon was asked to improve the quality and efficiency of running the client's facilities across the Norway. Many of their buildings have tons of documentation necessary for functioning. They are consuming lots of man hours to properly manage the whole data flow. Moicon managed to address these problems by creating digital twins of the buildings to save the costs of costly management.

Torbjorn Grimstad (CEO of Moicon) says - "We scanned whole facility with a laser technology. We took hundreds of drone photos and lengthy videos to documentate and properly measure whole building. It allowed us to make a cutting edge and super exact replica, optimized for the browser".

Moicon’s web-based 3d model serves a multiple of possibilities, such as - ability to attach files, assign tasks and maintenance routines, mark the placement of ventilation, fire roads, electrical cabinets, ending with simply leaving a comment on the desired object.

Now one person can control data flow at multiple facilities from the same location. “This is a tremendous opportunity to improve efficiency and reduce costs. It will enable us to continue providing the excellent facilities service here in Norway.”
