New in Moicon: Improved Project Explorer, IoT Graphs, Geometry draw statistics and more!
Discover the latest updates to Moicon App. Small but impactful changes to enhance your project experience. Stay up-to-date with the newest information.
This update focuses on small improvements to features, such as Project Explorer, IoT, Assets, and Process Analysis, to facilitate the creation of accurate digital twins that represent successful factories.
Improved Geographic Information System
3D globe visualization is a powerful tool to get a bird's eye view of multiple projects. It allows you to see the projects embedded on the globe and understand their geographic locations. The 3D view can help you get an idea of the relative distances between projects, which can be useful in planning and managing resources.
In addition to visualizing the projects, it is important to be aware of the zoning plan and access roads in the surrounding area. This information will help you understand the bigger picture, including the availability of resources and the potential impact on the environment.
By clicking on a particular project, you can move to another facility and get a detailed view of that project. This feature is particularly useful if you want to explore a specific project and understand its details, such as the layout, design, and construction status.
GIS (Geographic Information System) can be a valuable tool for anyone involved in project management, as it provides a clear and concise overview of multiple projects, helping you to make informed decisions and plan resources effectively.

Improved IoT Graphs
The IoT Graphs feature is a visualization tool that allows users to view and analyze real-time data from Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This feature provides interactive graphs that help users understand the patterns and trends in their IoT data, and make informed decisions based on that information.

We improved clarity of look and from now users can gain more insights into the specific value in timeframe.
Geometry Draw Statistics
This information is typically used for a variety of purposes, including quality control, engineering, and visualization.
- Instances: is the number of duplicates of one object that have the same geometry and material properties
- Primitives: is the number of basic shapes from which the instance is built
- Vertices: is the number of points in 3D space that define the corners of a 3D shape
These statistics can be used to determine how costly 3D asset performance is.

Color Override for an Asset Group
The feature itself allows users to apply a unique color to an entire group of assets, making it easier to identify and differentiate between different asset groups.
Select a group of assets using the group selection key (ALT in windows). After selecting the assets, you can toggle Activate and select the desired color.

Improved Simulation in Background Mode
This feature allows users to perform simulations in the background and get results in a seconds instead of monitoring the item flow. This means that the simulation process no longer interferes with the user's productivity, as it runs in the background and consumes minimal system resources. This new feature provides a faster way of performing process analysis, allowing users to save time.

Production values are reflected for the selected time point in seconds
From now on, the simulation reflects the status on the viewport for Process Analysis in Background mode. For example, you can see indicators such as Output Rate and Items Produced for each object in the selected time interval.
What's Brewing?
☕ We are working on adding Decals feature, before they see the light of day a short description about what they are.
Decals allow you to enhance your 3D models with unique and custom designs using 2D textures. This feature provides a simple and intuitive way to bring your equipment and layouts to life with custom graphics and logos.

Informative Decals placed on the wall
Create custom machine parts with safety warnings or operating instructions. A manufacturing company can use the feature to add symbols such as caution signs, warning labels, and operating instructions to their 3D models of machine parts. This would help to ensure that the machine parts are used safely and correctly, reducing the risk of accidents and improving efficiency.
